Messengers In White

White!  It’s bright, it’s light, it’s tight, It’s alright.

This week I took a journey to my home town for a class reunion.  I knew it was somewhat of a vision quest because I felt compelled to ride my sport bike.  I also knew there would be messages in white.

What do I mean by that?  Well, during my journey through my life I’ve had messengers in white show up to me.  I’m not just talking people wearing white, either.

It’s been white butterflies, white letters, white billboards, feathers, and the list goes on and on.

During the early portion of my trip I was thinking of messengers in white.  I was on a rural stretch of I-5 when what did I see, not one, but two white hearses on the freeway.

Now of course, being an over-caffeinated former reporter, my first thought was, am I gonna die this trip?  But then the more calm, reasoned voice came aboard.  The symbolism was about a part of me dying.  It’s complicated, but going home reminded me that it really is right and true to be full out me.  And that’s true for all of us.  It’s about letting go of the controls and caps that keep us from having the lid blown completely off.

One of my favorite authors on the topic is Emmet Fox.

Emmet Fox was born in Ireland on July 30, 1886, was educated in England, pursued his

spiritual career mostly in the United States, and died in France on August 13, 1951.

Emmet Fox addressed some of the largest audiences ever gathered to hear one man’s

thoughts on the religious meaning of life.  His books and pamphlets have been distributed millions of people.  Here is one of his quotes that I love:

A tragic mistake that is often made is to assume that the will of God

is bound to be something very dull and uninviting, if not positively

unpleasant.  Consciously or not some persons look upon God as a

hard taskmaster, or a severe parent. . . . The truth is that the will of God

for us always means greater freedom, greater self-expression, newer and

brighter experience, wider opportunity of service to others—life more abundant.

As I drove my Ducati up the freeway in high winds, I heard a voice tell me I was being whipped into shape.  I laughed at that.  Then later after I’d returned home,  I was reviewing some text I’d written for our soon-to-be published Oracle cards (that I haven’t touched for about 9 months).   I had writen…”let your personal trainer angels whip you into shape”.

In our Psychic Housewives Group the book Many Lives, Many Masters by Brian Weiss has come up several times.  The upshot is it’s about a well credentialed psychiatrist who works with a woman and encounters her angels and much information about souls.  He turns from a non-believer into a true believer in past lives and divine entities.  One of the most fascinating things about the book, is how reverered souls are on the other side  for choosing to come to earth and live life as humans.  It is a brave thing, because most of us forget our previous lives and connections when we’re born, we forget our connection to divine, and we weather many tragedies.  However, we also know the joy of physical touch, exercise, nature, and family and friend nurture.

Several months ago my husband bought a white muscle car.  It’s fast and furious and hell-of-fun to drive!  He’s already had it on a race track.  We really weren’t sure if we could afford it or should afford it.  But its energy has truly contributed to his life and our family experience.  To me it brings in a message of being in the seat of power, your true power.  Where you have a divine hook up and full creative self expression, where love is welcome.  It’s not about doing it perfectly, it’s about just doing it!!!!

I’m very excited about our upcoming deck.  I worked with my friend Helen Michaels on the idea for the deck.  But we never mentioned colors.  When she’d completed the cover, there it was….a really hot sexy angel dressed in white thigh-high boots and a short white skirt standing on top of the world.

Message delivered.
